Default Trying to decide which radio to get.

I'm just starting out, but I know I'm enjoying the hobby, and wanting to get better equipment than the ABC2 and Slo-V planes I've got. I've narrowed down the radio I'm wanting to the JR 6102, Hitec Eclipse 7, and the Fubuta 6EXA Super. I'm wanting something that I'll be able to run for a while, and not have to worry about upgrading right away.

Since I don't have any equipment already, I don't have to worry about the pos/neg shift issues.

I've already picked up a good charger (Duratrax Intellipeak Ice), so after the radio, I'll then worry about an airplane, but probably going to get a slowstick to fly.

Bakup find out what kind of radio's the guys you will be flying with use and talk to them. When you are learning it can be helpful to run a buddy cord and having the same make of radio can make this easier! Good luck with your new hobby and welcome to RCU.

Well, I don't know about the JR or the HiTec models you mention but I would pick an Airtronics RD6000 Super over the Futaba…within' the realm of Floaters recommendation of course.

I ended up getting a good deal on the JR 6102, and I'd be out flying right now except that the wind is too strong for my Slowstick
