Computer-controlled RC transmitter?
Hello,
I'm new to these forums so I'm not quite sure if I'm posting this in the right place. I aplogize in advance if I'm in the wrong place.
I would like to build a computer-controlled RC car. Most of this I understand how to do, but I have not been able to find a way to interface the computer (i.e. the serial port) with a transmitter.
Are there any RC transmitters that can interface with a computer, or can anyone point me to any resources that might be able to explain how to interface a computer with an RC transmitter?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Computer-controlled RC transmitter?
Thanks for the reply. I've seen that, but I was under the impression that it essentially does the opposite of what I want to do.
That is, if I understand correctly, it takes input from the RC transmitter, into the computer.
I want to use the computer to send output through the RC transmitter, in order to control the robot.
Am I wrong in my assumption?

Look at Ken Hewitts web page at:
http://www.welwyn.demon.co.uk/PC_RC/PC_to_RC.htm
This device was made to allow a computer to plug into a trainer port and act as the student/slave radio. I have not built this device, but have bought and made other stuff from Ken's site, and they work great.
