Default MOD2 vs MOD1

What is the difference between MOD2 and MOD1 transmitters ?
Which one should I choose as a beginner on RC-Helis?

The difference is the channel assignements to the stick axis. Mode two is aileron/elevator on right stick, throttle and collective/rudder on left stick.

Most of North America flys Mode 2, find out what the heli guys in your area fly so you can get help.
