Default At what point HD wire & switches?

Hi. I was wondering at what point does one need to begin using a heavy duty switch and servo wire? Is it necessary for 6v operation, or when using high torque (over 80oz in) servos or with digitals?

I'm wondering if there is a recommended rule of thumb for when one should upgrade from using standard sport wiring to using the HD stuff.

Thanks,
David

I'd say anything above 60 size. The 90 and up should get the HD stuff. the 22 gauge extensions and JR/Cermark switch is good up to 40%. Use dual rx batteries and switches at 30% and higher. Some prefer on 25% and higher. For me if it's 33% or higher for dual rx batteries.

Thank you. So I'm ok with standard wiring in an 8lb .60 model with 9001s?
