Default Futaba repairs

I've got a wonderful older 6 ch. PCM radio that doesn't work. I think I have a prob. with my Rx.
Who do you send it to for repairs. I see so many ads for repair shops that I don't know which is better.

Default Futaba repairs

I would check with Pete Waters, former contributing editor to RCReport. His email last I knew was: [email protected]

Also, I've had good experiences with Futaba's service center in Illinois. They were quick to diagnose, fix, and return my Tx. See Futaba's website for contact information.

Default Send it to the Futaba repair center.

Hi Matt,
I've always had great service and quick turnaround time with the Futaba repair center. Their cost's are resonable for factory service and they are also friendly folks to deal with. Good luck with your radio.

Matt,
I'm thrilled to hear 2 other folks have already recommended our service center.

In case you need info to prep your item to ship it to us,
Please see the following site for a worksheet which will simplify sending your item for service:

http://www.futaba-rc.com/service.html

In case you can not use the worksheet for any reason, here is the pertinent information.

Please ship your product to:

Futaba Service Center
1610 Interstate Drive
Champaign IL 61822

phone: 217-398-0007
fax 217-398-7721
email: [email protected]

Please be sure to fill in all fields on the worksheet or, if not using the worksheet, to provide us a detailed explanation of your concerns and service required, as well as at least 2 means of daytime contact: phone, fax, or email are great, as well as your return mailing address. If this is non-warranty service, please also provide a means of payment (visa, mastercard). Please note that we will contact you with an estimate prior to performing ANY repairs to a non-warrnty item, so be sure to provide an easy way to reach you to avoid delays.

Sincerely,
Mrs. AnnMarie Cross

Default Futaba repairs

I have an old 127df receiver which has a fairly short range check.

Is it worth the cost to have it sent for repair or just ditch it and buy a new one ?

lenny, I've had recievers repaired before and it's real reasonable, last one was about $23 If it's the 127, they run about $67 or so new, so it's definately worth it.
If you ditch it, ditch it my way, I'll pay postage.
You really want to fix it though.
I've dealt with Futaba for 20yrs++ and always good service, now better then ever.
