Default Car Rx for Futaba 9CAP..... which one?

I posted this in the Car secxtion some time ago with no replies. Hope someone here can help out.

I like to try my 9CAP stick radio for my buggy and I was wondering which car receiver (synthesized if possible) will work with it.
The 8 channel Rx that comes with it is way too big so that's a No-Go.

Actually none. The 9CAP is an airplane radio on 72 mhz. Car receivers are on 75 mhz. They won't talk.

For the 9CAP to be used with car receivers, you need a frequency module for the radio that put is on 75 mhz. I believe this is the right one.

No it's not 72MHz. I bought it for land use (in boats) and there's a 75MHz module in it already.

OK, wel CAP indicates that it is an airplane radio that was packed with a PCM receiver. So use the receiver that came with it. Or buy a Futaba 75 mhz receiver.

http://www.futaba-rc.com/radioaccys/futl26.html
This lists Futaba's receivers. I would expect and FM 75 mhz receiver from Futaba should work with it.

Any other questions?

Would an Airtronics or Hitec Rx work?

Hitec would probably work, but I don't know anything about car radios or receivers so you will have to wait for someone else to join.

What do you have against Futaba Receivers?

I have a 9CH. I use it with Hitec receivers exclusively but that is on 72 mhz, not 75. Wish I could be of more help.

Nothing at all. Futaba is great. Just wondering because there are more brands and some are cheaper. That's it.

If you use it on 72MHz then a 75MHz module will work just as well. It's just a different frequency. Thank you.

Hitec negative shift (Futaba compatable) recievers will work, Airtronics wont.

The correct 27Mhz / 75MHz module for the 9C/8U/7U/5U is the FP-TJ-FM
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=LXH259**&P=7

The FP-PK-FM will not work.

Set your 9C transmitter to PPM mode. Then any of the Futaba FM 3-channel receivers on 75 MHz will work fine. Examples are the R143F and R153F receivers. The R113IP will work in PCM mode. These are all receivers intended for R/C car/boat uses.
