radios and servos ??????
Hi There
This is a question about the pros and cons of different servos like digital vs non-digital and what servo to use for which application eg: can you use all the same servos for yr heli or do they have specific uses ? and where are there resources on the net that explain this to the novice , as well as do all servos work with all tx and radios ????
your input is much appreciated
cheers

RE: radios and servos ??????
You can start by checking out the Futaba and the Hitec web sites:
http://www.futaba-rc.com/servos/index.html
http://www.hitecrcd.com/homepage/product_fs.htm
Check out the FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) on these 2 sites.
You will need to explore the web sites a bit, but there is a lot of good info. There is of coarse other locations but these are good starting locations to get a good understanding. RCU has a comparison of up to three similar types of products called - Compare side by side. Click on link below.

Hope this helps.

RE: radios and servos ??????
Normally the tail servo on a heli is a dedicated tail rotor servo like a Futaba 9254
Other than that they can all be the same, all my helis have 4 9252's and 1 9254 on them.
A high torque high speed servo on collective pitch on a non ccpm machine is nice, on a ccpm all 3 swash plate servos need to be identical.
