Have you tried adjusting the gimble tension spring screws?

Remove back case half (six screws). On both gimbals, you will see brass colored tension adjustment screws. The screws pull down on the springs, putting more tension on the cantilevers, which put tension on the gimbals as you move them. The aileron, elevator, and rudder surfaces will be adjusted. The throttle has an adjustent on the ratchet for more tension (the BIG brass screw). There is also a non-functioning tension screw on the side of the throttle, in case the gimbal happens to be mode 1.

When you reassemble the radio, be careful to start the screws back into the original threads. Do not tighten past snug, the threads strip easy.
