RE: Anounced JR 12X
Graupner version of JR12x is the new MX24s to be released soon
Some features:
. Freq. can be changed on screen (like Futaba and Multiplex) No dial in the TX module
. 40 model memory
. software can be upgrade
. modes 1-4
. 12 mixers free
. 8 flight modes
. software comes in Germany, French, Italian and English language
Pictures in:
http://www.modellbau-bichler.com/images/mx-24_new.jpg
Unfortunately it is not a 2.4GhZ system. It's only PCM, the same as JR12x in Japan
The only difference is that software from Graupner is FAR ADVANCED than software from JAPAN!!!

RE: Anounced JR 12X
The picture of the MX24 looks nothing like the 12X as seen in Tokyo. Admittedly, the 12X shown was a prototype but where are the other 3 channel controls ?

RE: Anounced JR 12X
Kevin, the standard 9XII (very similar to your 9303),2610 (6102) & the 2720 (7202) all have dig trim on the throttle as standard. The US versions brought in by Horizon are modified to have an analogue trim.

RE: Anounced JR 12X
I went from 10X (3+1) to DX7 (digital trim on throttle) and it took me all of one flight to feel right at home.
Before this I would have voted for a continuation of 3+1 but not now.
Happy camper!

RE: Anounced JR 12X
I guess it's up to the flier. I like the analog throttle trims on my 8103s and 9303. Every time I fly another radio with all digital trims, I don't know where the trim is. I certainly hope the US version is like the 9303.
I heard that JR won't use the 2.4 GHz because it was invented in California, not Japan. Spectrun probably has ton of patents.

RE: Anounced JR 12X
I don't use flaps - so I set the flap switch to be OFF at center - high throttle trim at 0 and low throttle trim at 2. bumping it whilst flying is a problem only if you are at bottom of stick travel- otherwise - start is center position - 0 is a slight throttle up - 2 is throttle cut.
It is all predicated on having the trim set at center beep -so I can make minor changes as desired

RE: Anounced JR 12X
Actually I don't think that the MX-24s is the new JR 12X, as this radio has been on the market for some time, I know someone who is using it and he got it more than a year ago. Also its only 12 function in PPM mode, not in PCM. Graupner has had 12 function radio for sometime, all only operate 12 functions in PPM mode and not in SPCM.
Hopefully, the 12X will be here soon.

RE: Anounced JR 12X
Graupner MX24s has nothing to do with MC24 that is on the market for a long time.
MX24s is a new radio yet to be on the market!
It's a new evolution from the MX22 (9xII with european software) with 12 ch.
If you compare MX22 with JR9303, 9X and 9XII it seems that they are different
Graupner uses more functions and buttons (like the right side enter button)
In JR9303 it acts to scroll the menus. In MX22 you have two different functions with the same key.
If you pay attention in 12X and MX24s both cases are very similar.
They can change layout, but they are similar.
Also, Graupner Radios comes first to market than USA Radios.

RE: Anounced JR 12X
HLANG,
Sorry if i offended you, that was not my intention. I was referring to the MX24, which uses the standard JR case, as opposed to the MC version which is tray style. I did make a mistake between the MX-22 and this one, I apologise for that, the MX-24s is indeed a new release, as you said. From what I can see, I believe that they have added the synth module to this radio similar to the one released on the new JR 7 channel set, which is set from the menu and not by screws on the case, and added some other features like model memory, etc etc.
https://shop.graupner.de/webuerp/ser...I?ARTN=4748.77
If you look at the specs, its is capable of PPM18,PPM24 PCM 20 and SPCM 20. Thats the european designation for PPM 9 channels, PPM 12 channels, PCM 10 and SPCM 10 channels. Even the MX22 also has 12 channels capability in PPM mode only. The 12X is APCM 12 channels, which would read as APCM 24 by graupners system of designation functions. The cases are indeed very similar, but then again the 12X case looks like its derived from the 9XII case, so it would be similar to even the MX-22.
I was also hoping that it was the 12X when i saw your post, as I am also waiting for this radio to come out. But the MX-24s is definitely not it, so it looks like we all have to wait.
Below are the specs for the MX-24s
Transmission system: SPCM20 / PCM20 / PPM10 / PPM18 / PPM24
Radio Frequency section: Synthesizer (10kHz spacing 35 / 35 B-band or 40 / 41 MHz band)
Channel spacing: 10 kHz
Max. control functions: SPCM 20 =10, PCM20 = 5, PPM18 = 9, PPM24 = 12 Four proportional + trims, four proportional, two switched
Channel pulse width: 1.5 ms +/-0.4 ms
Control travel resolution(servo travel): SPCM 10-bit, PCM 9-bit
Aerial: Telescopic aerial, ten sections, approx. 1150 mm long
Operating voltage: 9.6 ... 12 V
Current drain approx. 70 mA (excl. RF module)
Dimensions (L x W x H) approx. 200 x 195 x 98 mm
Weight approx. 1100 g with transmitter battery
and these are the specs for the MX-22
Transmission system SPCM 20 / PCM 20 / PPM 18 / PPM 24 / PPM
Radio Frequency (RF) section Integral (10 kHz spacing, 35, 35-B, 40 or 41 MHz band)
FMsss T crystals 35 MHz band Order No. 3864.61 - 80 and .182 - .191 40 MHz band Order No. 4064.50 - .92 41 MHz and Order No. 4164.400 - .420
Channel spacing 10 kHz
Control functions, max. SPCM 20 = 10, PCM 20 = 10, PPM 18 = 9, PPM 24 = 12
Control functions, basic 4 functions, with trims
Control functions 10, 4 proportional with trims, 4 proportional and 2 switched
Channel pulse width 1.5 ms ± 0.5 ms
Travel resolution (servo travel) SPCM 20 10-bit (1024 steps), PCM 20 9-bit (512 steps)
Aerial Telescopic aerial, ten sections, approx. 1150 mm long
Operating voltage 9.6 ... 12 V
Current drain approx. 60 mA (excl. RF module)
Dimensions approx. 195 x 200 x 75 mm
Weight approx. 990 g including transmitter battery

RE: Anounced JR 12X
Out of curiosity, if PCM= Pulse Code Modulation, and SPCM = Super Pulse Code Modulation, does that make APCM= ALLMIGHTY Pulse Code Modulation ?????

RE: Anounced JR 12X
I am very sorry that people from JR in Japan is all behind Futaba and Multiplex.
Futaba released new and powerfull radios with 12 and 14ch, with new technology.
JR does nothing besides 12x that is coming.
We are discussing now 2.4Ghz and JR does not show us a new and powerfull radio with 12, 14ch with 2.4Ghz
Hitec will release a new 9ch radio with bluetooth, sd card slot, usb port.
Multiplex has Evo12ch with new ideas
And JR?
10x is now obsolete. I have JR9303 It's far advanced than 10x.
I am suspecting that 12x is the 10x with some more functions. Nothing else.
Sorry
