Alright I bought a Futaba R124F micro receiver and servos to go with it. I used it in a Wright Brothers Flier until the plane took a dump. The receiver and servos continued to work. I then bought a GP Yak 55 EP which came with a brushed motor. I picked up a brushed esc from GP and installed everything. I plugged it all in and the elevator servo went to one extreme the esc didn't respond and had no servo response. I unplugged everything and checked wiring all was correct. Now I have replaced the motor with a Park 400 from e-flite and and e-flite esc to go with it. When I plug all this in I get one beep out of motor and no throttle or servo response. WHAT THE HECK? Is the receiver fried or what? How can I tell? THis plane is quickly becoming a money pit. Would be nice if I could ever get it in the air.

If you plug a regular battery into your receiver, and do not plug in the speed control, does the system still work? If so, then something in the speed control is affecting how the receiver works. It's also possible that there's something wrong in the receiver. It may have been partially-damaged in the prior crash and then finally gone off when you re-connected the new components.

You can never tell what the results will be when you have a crashed system.
