broken servo lugs
I have 5 futaba 3004 servos with all the lugs broken off. Is it best to buy new cases or just glue them to ply and mount with screws??

RE: broken servo lugs
G'day Mate,
Try & buy new cases, BUT, if the crash was that severe that it broke all the servo cases, I wouldn't trust em anyway, & I would be really worried about the gears inside.
I personally would throw em away, not worth the price of a new plane when they fail.

RE: broken servo lugs
I disagree.
You can open the case and check the gears. The first one is most likely to break. Gears are cheap.
There is not hardly anything else in there that can break.

Hi Allen,
Modelers here in the States tend to not always appreciate how easy it is to get "stuff" at a reasonable price, and quickly, our "relatives" to the north can take up to 2 weeks to receive an order from Tower, due to Canadian customs, and this poor dude may be a lot closer to Champaign, IL, if he's in Ontario, (heck, he could just as well drive there) than I am in Vermont, but UPS gets it here in about 3 days or so.
Look on the bright side, your flying season is just getting under way
Cheers,
Pete

G'day Pete,
My flying season, lasts from October to October, in other words, all year round,
I'm in Australia, Mid north Coast of New South Wales, No snow, & lately not much rain, our runway is about 300 metres long & 40 metres wide, smooth grass, that our local council mows for us.
YES I'm blessed, & I know it.
