G'day Mate,
Give us a bit more info, what is your aerial set up, what is your plane setup, what receiver, is TX aerial up or down? & so on.

at my club everyone does a range check with the arial down and walks about 100 metres. on my radio I walk 10 paces and everything one the plane goes funny but on an older JR radio and other radios it works so we know it is not the plane or RX.

Change the Tx crystal for the other JR Tx ( one that checks out ok). If same problem then it could be the actual antenna ( change that next), or it could be a cracked antenna pcb or weak RF Power transistor (unlikely but possible)

I am using the same crystal in both and the older one works but my x2610 doesn't.

I will try the antenna.

Thanks

G'day Mate,
I had a similar problem recently with my X378, when you do your range check with the aerial down, try pulling the last segment up about 1", & see if that helps. If it does you have a bad connection in your aerial, & it may just need a clean, with contact cleaner, & a clean rag.

Hi M

I have the solution to your problem, take the 2610 and see how far you can throw it. Then go to Uncle Colin and buy a JR 9x2. Tell him Uncle Syd sent you. LOL

See you at the airfield
