Comparing the 8103DT to the 9CH
I was really looking for flexibility. Like programming features, etc...
What I am trying ot decide is which radio I want to use on an 8 servo fun fly.

Comparing the 8103DT to the 9CH
Jim
I have a new 8103 and am also in the LCRCC. I haven't explored everything this thing will do yet but it's impressive. Somewhere I heard that the 9C can't be set up for CROW. I find it hard to believe but if it's true, that's one thing the 8103 has over it.
BTW, I got mine from Chief in a promo pak with digital servos and the R700 7 ch. receiver. Good deal at $380 delivered.
I'll email you.

hey Tony, I'll give you a call. When did you get the 8103 for that price? I have a buddy that is going to buy one, (the heli version) and is shopping for a good deal with the 811 servos.

The 9C can do crow, no problem. The thing that makes it flexible is you can assign nearly any function to any switch. You can put all your rates on one switch, something that the 8103 cannot do without using 3 free mixes. You can have user mixes active all the time, or set them all to one switch, or set them to separate switches, or set them so that some are active on low rates, and others are active on high rates, etc. In addition, all of the user mixes have trim option, meaning that the second surface will trim with the first one. The 8103 only has two mixes that will do that. You get the picture. You can get the 9C for 370 or so including a CAMPAC and an 8 ch FM receiver and servos from bruckner hobbies. The 8103 is a nice radio, but there are things that the 9C will do that the 8103 simply can't.

Comparing the 8103DT to the 9CH
Thanks guys...
I already have both radios and am going to do the review plane with the 9C mainly because I have not done much programming with it and I have too many helis and planes on the 8103 anyway.
Thanks for the good information

My 2 cents
I agree the 9c may have more functions but I just purchased the 8103 because that's what everybody that I fly with has. So if I have trouble programming it or what ever I will always have someone there to help. Not bashing futaba I think they are a fine radio but around where I fly no one fly's them at all.
The 8103 will do crow as well but it's more difficult to setup.
