Default Optic 6

Hey all.
I'm looking to invest in a good all around radio system for My Heli's(nitro and electric) and fixed wing planes(nitro and electric as well).
I've been looking at the optic series with some interest.
Just looking for opinions.
Thanks

Edit: seems I for mixed up, there is no optic 7. Sorry

The electron 7 is the hitec 7 channel

I use the optic 6 on all of my planes and helis (electric and .30 size)

My only complaint is the handle breaks alot.

Shurley you're not talking about the control sticks, right?[:-]
By handle, do you mean the bar on top of the Tx near the antenna?

Refer to "Radio Systems, Accessories, Alterations and FAQ" on my web page for links to all manuals, or email me direct for spreadsheet
"Eclipse vs Optic vs FF6 vs 9CAP vs RD600 vs JR652 vs JR3810 (8103)" .
Using an Eclipse 7 for high end performance models and an Optic 6 to fly most of my everyday models (which range from small EP to large gas).
(re earlier post, have not yet heard of any local Optic 6 with broken handles which IMO can take some abuse, being as strong as any other brand of similar set.)

Thanks Alan.
I don't own any high end performance planes as of yet, so it looks like the optic 6 will do me just fine.
Thanks for the link as well. [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

I would steer clear of the Optic 6 like the plague. This TX is of very poor quality. My Optic 6 has had to be sent back to the manufacturer twice to be repaired with less than 2 hours of flight time.
Anything else has got to be better than the Optic 6
