Futaba 9C and Flaperon Question
I have the Futaba 9C radio system and I’m setting it up with Flaperons. The question I have is with ATVs.
Do I set the max travel with the ATVs for the Aileron – Ch1 ---- Flaps – Ch6, or in the Flaperon page while leaving the ATVs for Ailerons ch1, and Flaps ch6 at 100% on the basic menu End Point page?
Also is there a way to have the the Flap trim knob disabled for Airbrakes? It seems when I adjust the flap trim knob for flaps and then I flip on the airbrakes it also effects the amount of airbrakes that I have dialed in. I want the flap trim knob to only be active in one switch position for flap adjustment and not when I have airbrakes on or when I flip the switch to the third position for normal flight.
Thank you and I look forward to your response.

Futaba 9C and Flaperon Question
Jon,
Use the ATV to set the amount of aileron travel you want, and set the amount of flap travel in the flap trim page.
I'll get my Tx and see if there is a way to disable the knob. I'm willing to bet that you can set up a mix or two to deactivate the knob.

It only disables the ch6 knob. Try it on the ground first.

Futaba 9C and Flaperon Question
You said to set the ATVs with the End Point Screen for the Ailerons. So is that Channel 1 or channel 1 and 6 which has the other aileron into it? Of course channel 6 is labeled Flaps, so what does that ATV do?
Why can I set my servo travel in both the End Point page and on the Flaperon Page?
Thanks

Futaba 9C and Flaperon Question
ATV channel 1 sets Right Aileron movement.
ATV channel 6 sets Left Aileron movement.
You can use End Point adjustment to set up differential, and the amount of flap travel on the Flap page. The best way to learn this is to experiment on a free model so you won't accidentally mess anything up on your 'good' setup.

Futaba 9C and Flaperon Question
On 9C you need not do the mix to turn of fthe ch 6 knob. simply go into aux-channel, choose channel 6, and set it to NULL. this turns off the primary control for channel 6.
to set up ATvs, set up each servo first -- 1 and 6 -- including direction, end points, subtrim. THEN turn on flaperon and adjust the function as a whole, if required, using the high rate of dual rates.
