Hi Everyone

New to the helicopter hobbie and Just bought a Sanwa RD6000 Super radio, in mode 1 can anyone tell me if it can be converted to mode 2 as all members of my club fly mode 2 or does it have to go back to the manufacturer

Default Sanwa RD 6000 Super

Hmm... I had a quick flip through my manual...I'm assuming that there are no big differences between the radios sold either side of the pond(except frequency?) .... I can't see any mention of how to change modes from one to the other... I'm thinking this is going to need either sending it back to the manufacturer or someone with a lot more radio know-how than me!

Hi,
has anyone tested this manual? My problem is, that I do not know what is meant with left switch. On the left side are so many switches that I do not know which I should use. Since I can reverse the directions of the switches in the settings, there are so many possobilities that I cannot try every without getting much older
Thanks

Hi again,
it looks that I make something wrong...
Here is what I do: I switch the Switch named with Retract gear (in blue) and Flight-Mode 3 (in white) to the back direction of the radio. Then I press the Buttons named with F-Mode and End simultanously and switch the radio on. The switch named with al D/R (in blue) and C-Mix (in white) is switched to 0. Now (while still pressing the two Buttons End and F-Mode) I switch the Retract Mode/Flight-Mode 3 switch back to the front direction of the radio (to my body).
Till yet there is now change in the display. So I think that there is something wrong... Could you help me?
Thanks again
Pomdas

Hi

I have checked the switches in the manual for my set and the are actually the opposite way around on my set.

Set the 'flap' switch to the rear & the 'AL D/R' before switching on the radio.
When you have switched the radio on let go of the 'F-mode' & 'End' buttons, before trying the next step, you should see 'svc' on the screen.

How is the left hand switch named on your set? (mine is flap)

Hi

my set looks exactly like the the one which is described in the manual on this page (no idea if there are different ones): http://www.airtronics.net/RD6000_Super.htm
So on the left side are a two position switch called Retract Gear and Flight-Mode 3 on the upper side, a trainer button, a two position switch called El D/R and C-Mix 1 and a two position switch called C-Mix 1,2/AL-RU Mix.
On the right side is (from left to right) a two position switch called Al D/R and C-Mix2, a button called Throttle Cut and a three position switch called Flap/FL-EL Mix and Flight Mode 1,2.

Oh, now I got it... I put my right switch in the middle position and then I pressed the two buttons while switching the radio on. Now the display is clear and I only have to switch the right switch to me. So if anybody have had the same problem, he will maybe have the solution, now.
Thanks cubanflyer !!! I did not know, that the switches are in a different order in different product types. Now a final question: Does the order of the buttons change when I change the mode? Since I own a mode 2 version of the RD6000 Super and want to change to mode 1 (sorry, if this was important for you, because I did not give this information to you earlier), this could be important...

Dear all concerned,

I had changed modes of all my friends, and myself who had the Airtronics RD 6000 super , I had no problems doing the procedure you posted i all were 72mhzs. all were bought from Japan by my friend who owns an RC shop

i encountered another friend's radio which he bought from Hong kong and was same model RD 6000 super with 8 model memory 35Mhz. but it was Branded Sanwa in place where the airtronics brand emblem is located. Though I know they are the same company, my question is this. when I changed the mode of the sanwa rd6000 super from mode 1 to mode 2. the radio's memory shifted only to 4 model memory. whats worse is that the functions trims have somehow shifted to the capabilities of a RD6000 sport ( which i verified thru a down loaded manual of the sport).

Could anybody help me on this?

Yes it was EZ . I shipped it off to airtronics . I think they hit me up for $20.00. Well worth the money.
