Crystal Change
You can't legally change the crystal in the transmitter. You may be able to plug in a 75 mhz module for surface. I would run it by Danny Snyder in the JR forum. He'll need to know the model of your system.

Illegal or not do NOT change a 72MHz crystal with a 75MHz crystal, it will not work and there's a possibility you'll shoot down nearby transmitters. Swapping 72MHz crystals is one thing, but changing 'bands' is definitly going to through the xmitter out of tune. Might not even xmit

Radio Xtal
Dennis,
JR makes a 2-stick ground radio but it's one of those $60 cheapies without nicads (optional). JR used to make some top quality 2-sticks but I guess no longer. It doesn't have to be a JR but I prefer one.
