Default Futaba T6EXAP NiCad voltage after 2 week storage

When a Futaba T6EXAP TX has been fully charged with the genuine Futaba charger and then left unused for 2 weeks, is it normal for the voltage to have dropped right down to 8 point something volts ?

The Nicad in this set has seen very little use and my TX has always done this since I got it - just wondering if it is normal, as in the set is using the battery to some extent even when switched off.

No. You have a bad battery. An internal partial short is a sure sign of a bad abttery

Thanks for that, I thought that might be the case but I also considered it possible that the TX was using some battery power to maintain memory settings etc.

I will get a new battery ASAP
