Default wiring aileron servos

Hi All,

I need to connect two servos to run my ailerons. (I have a 6-channel Sanwa Vanguard)

Can I just connect the two servos in parrallel and plug them into one channel, or will this overload the receiver?

Thanks in advance

Yes - the part for this is very common, and is called a "Y" harness, available at any LHS or any mail order store. It will not overload your receiver.

Yes, its basically the same as using a Y connector. Make sure the Y is at the receiver and, and not at the servo end for the least possible resistance. However, in a wing panel, its inconvenient to have to plug in 4 leads for the wings, so I could put the Y at the wing root as a compromise.

Thanks for that Steve and Lynn, I might make my own harness now that I know it can be done.

Thanks

Making your own is the best way to go also, rather than using a pre-built Y connector. The connectors themselves are responsible for the largest resistance and current loss in our wiring setups. The less connectors, the better performance. It becomes more and more important to eliminate connectors and use 22ga heavy duty wiring as you move up in airplane size.
