Default Ignorant receiver ?

On an 8 channel receiver, the battery is plugged into ch. 8. Doesn't this make it a 7 channel receiver by taking up the eighth spot. I've never filled up a receiver, but was curious.

Thanks

You can actually plug the battery into any of the slots. Likewise, you can use a Y cable and plug both a battery and servo in the same slot.

If you need all 8, just use a Y harness for one of the channels with the battery/switch lead going into one end and the desired servo going into the other...[8D]

The rx's have a common power buss so power can be put into any slot on the rx.

[8D]By placing a Y connector into the 8 Channel and feeding the battery pack on one side and a servo on the other side it becomes an 8 Channel receiver. You can feed the battery on Channel 1 or any other Channel with a Y connector.

One caution when plugging the battery in through a Y connector; be sure that it is heavy gage wire as all the current for all the servos and the receiver must pass through that one thin lead and even 22 gage wire may be marginally small and many Y's are smaller gage.
