The problem is with the 9C. Channel 8's signal has a very noticable latency compared to the elevator (#2), under the perfect servo end points, speed (via the Hitec programmer), and control arm length setup.

Hi, I can only add that Futaba's been doing 2.4 for more than 15 years! They have always been the Company to aim for, for the last 40 years! All these other radio makers are either very new just about 2/3 years (Spectrum) or only been into 2.4 for 1 year (JR)
Why Futaba has only reasonly started to sell RC 2.4 when the had been using it commercially for 15 years is beyond me..? Now it seems that JR is the Company that sets the standards to aim for. Maybe this is why Futaba was slow to jump at the 2.4 for RC first..?

That's why it's better not to use the ailervator mix on the 9C if you have ch 5 or 7 available. I ran ailervator mix originally with my 9C on an Extra 300, more recently I switched to a P-mix with ch 5 as the slave, also eliminated the need for an 8 channel receiver[8D]

My new 7C 2.4 GHz system will handle dual elevators using the new (for the 7C) ailevator function.

I have the new 7C 2.4 GHz installed in my Showtime 90 with dual elevators and was able to remove my servo synchronizer MSA-10.

The only problem I found with this is when mixing out knife edge coupling. I had to use a P-Mix to get both elevator halves synchronized with the rudder.

Someone said here that the DX7 has a dual elevator program.I have a DX7 and I can't for the life of me find it. Just got the 7C 2.4 and it has dual elevator programming with trims and ailevator function. I bought the 7C because its a dedicated 2.4 system and my DX7 can't do things I wanted unless someone can help me find that elusive dual elevator function.

Not sure but I think you use a programmable mix as discussed starting on pg 56 of the manual. Use with mix 5 or 6 so both will trim together.
From manual:
Note: Programmable mix 5 and 6 have a built-in trim include function. If programmable mix 5
or 6 is selected, and a master channel is selected that has a trim lever (ie. aileron, elevator rudder
or throttle), the trim will operate both the master and the slave channel.

Someone will let you know if I'm wrong or there is another way.

I have just bought the Dx7 and found out that is does not do dual elevators, may return and switch out for the Futaba or upgrade to the 9 channel.
I can't figure out why the trainer/flap switch when moved moves the throttle trim. Am i missing something?

Med,

Yes it does do dual elevators, just as Bruce stated. Check out this link for programming ideas.

FWIW I went with 7c fasst, but it was a tough decision. I think the Spektrum has a great product/vision, but opted for something that "ergonomically" fit better. And no, I have no idea what I'm talking about!

PEACE again

Sure. A few of the switches will be located different and maybe labeled different. The throttle will also not have a ratchet but some like it that way too. In some cases the ratchet can be re-installed if desired. Some TX MAY have a slight software problem but most likely not. Most computer heli radios will default to Heli when programmed but that can be changed too.

Finally! got it done. But its a chore and getting both halves to work just right can be a tiring affair.Don't think I'll be able to remember the steps a few months from now!
