Default Crystal compatability Jr / Hitec

Well, the crystals will fit and you will get some sort of result... But the tuning would not be guaranteed to be on the expected frequency, and its just not a good idea.

For the TX it is illegal to put a crystal in which is not rated for the brand/model of radio its going in. (In the US its technically illegal for other than an FCC licenced tech to do anything that can change the tuning of the TX... even swapping crystals that are for the same frequency by the radio's manufacturer... Not sure about where you are.) You probably won't get caught or in trouble unless your pllane is involved in an injury accident... But if you get caught doing an illegal TX mod, your insurance could be void just when you need it. (plus the Federal law violation penalties including up to $10,000 fine, prison....)

Don't goof around swapping crystals.
