RP4S1-72 Corona Synthesized Receiver 4Ch 72Mhz
I just ordered two of these and I want to test one to descruction in a planned way. The idea is to stress the reciever physically in ever increasing steps to see what it can take.
This is to satisfy my curiosity as to whether a smaller mass reciever can take more punishment than a larger mass unit.
I feel that a receiver goes through three types of stress. The dynamic stress, where it is shaken or moved around quickly, The Impact or deceleration stress, where it hits or is hit by something, and the electronic stress, where it is overwhelmed by outside frequencies to overload.
Anyway, I welcome any ideas as to methods and organization of the experiment.
I thought the final test (if it lasts that long!) could be to strap it to a Sawzall blade and turn the saw on at high speed. Not the servos or batteries of course!! Sort of like the old Timex "It takes a licking but keeps on ticking" commercials.
This should be fun. Let the ideas fly!!
