32MB Flash Card for 14MZ/12Z
Regarding the 32MB Flash Card (for the FUT 14MZ/12Z) that is needed to perform the software update (to go to 2.4) ..... The Futaba version of this card (from Tower Hobbies) is $ 79. Will any 32MB Flash card work ? ..... like the ones availble in local stores for about $ 25 ? Thanks. Bob

They dont all work, I had one that didnt but three others that did. I have a 2.0 gig sandisk extreme III that works well. It gives it a 15,000 model memory.
You will just have to try out the one you want.

Not all CF cards are the same. they use different controller-memory IC's inside that have a VERY WIDE range of performance in both rd/wrt operations.
We are taking like ~5-7mb to ~20mb xfer rates, depending on brand and speed grades.
Use a CF with a 50X speed rating if you are up to the challenge.
As Futaba puts it, warrany may be void. Disclaimer.
Where I work we use lots of CF cards and there is definately a difference.
