RE: Corona Receivers...
I have a Futaba 6EX-2.4 GHz system.
I emailed Futaba about the issues with the transmitter losing its code and reverting to a defualt code. waiting on an answer for that .
I the mean time, could someone please tell me if a Corona 2.4Ghz 4ch Receiver (FHSS) from Hobbycity is compatable with my 6EX.
I am confused concerning Version 1 and Version 2 modules.
Thanks In advance,
Roy

RE: Corona Receivers...
Roy,
Unfortunately it is not. Corona as well as all of the Rx and TX manufacturers use their own proprietary language on 2.4. Corona sells the modules that slide into the back of the higher end Futaba Tx's(like the 9C and others), but the 6EX does not have this capability. I have heard that you can open up the back of the Tx and do a little soldering to get something like this to work, but it is a crude workaround.
Sorry,
Curtis

RE: Corona Receivers...
Hi guys and gals.
I have 2xRP8D1 and 2 Futaba's @ 72mhz.
1 of the RX will lock and is perfect, but the other will cycle through the search then blink twice and stop as if no TX signal. The TX is fine on an OEM RX.
What am I doing wrong?

RE: Corona Receivers...
ORIGINAL: DJ Chino yes it's Sinthzezied what's that mean???
Synthesised means no crystal is required in the receiver, it will auto lock onto applicable TX providing set up instruction in accompanying manual is read and followed carefully.

RE: Corona Receivers...
Hey Alan you've been alot of help, thanks.
I hate to be a pest, but I'm kinda new to th R/C world got another couple of questions & promise I'll leave you alone.
1/ so if I got this right? the corona Rcvr would just bind with my Hitec Eclipse 7 kinda the same wayit would bind a 2.4mhz radio (I know different steps, but the concept is about the same) so do I remove the Crystal from myRadio? and since it's 72mhz I guess I would use the radio with the same antena correct?
2/ another thing it says it's single conversion, is that gong to matter does the Hitec have to be Single conv also or it does not matter?
Like I said I'm kinda new to the ling but I learn fast
thanks
Chino

RE: Corona Receivers...
1- The Corona FM doesn't bind (this only apply to 2.4 Ghz systems),it only chose the same frequency & shift as the transmitter.Don't remove the crystal from the Tx,and the antenna has to be extended.
2-Single (or double) conversion is only with the Rx, nothing to do with the Tx
The Eclipse-7 has a Futaba/Hitec type module, you can actually use a 2.4 Ghz module latter on if you chose to, and that will need binding!

RE: Corona Receivers...
I'be been using a 6-channel Corona synthesized reciever for several years now with absolutely no problems or glitches. I've used it with glow and electric planes, and with both Futaba and JR 72 mhz systems. Easy setup, works fine for me.

Hi,
I ordered 4 pieces 72 Mhz RP8D1 receivers from HK ... received them today.
3 work fine, but the last one only locks on Tx for 5/7 seconds @ cold and 2/3 seconds @ hot ... BUT finally looses transmission.
re-programming do not change anything.
Quality controls really passed ??? hum, hum ...

Hi
I have a 2.4 Ghz Corona system; CT8z DIY module in a Futaba FF7 and several receivers CR8D Corona.
I've been using this system for several years in Glow and electric models without problems.
I consult: if I can use these receivers CR8D gasoline models ??
No interference problems with CDI ?? And vibration ??
