Default Spectrum Dx6 with SR3 rx..

I picked up a 3 channel spectrum sr3000 today and it dosent want to bind to my 6 channel dx6000, whice ive been using for about 2 years no problems..

Is there an issue with air transmitters / ground recievers? Or do the different channels numbers not like to work together?

Upon bind attempt, everythings working nicely right until the point where the Rx light is supposed to become solid green... it simply goes out with no response.

Any facts or experiences would be really appreciated !

Default RE: Spectrum Dx6 with SR3 rx..

I recently tried to use my Spektrum airplane radio with a DX3.0 RX and it would not work.

I called JR and they told me that the ground and air systems do not use the same number of fequency slots and hence will not work with each other.

I substituted a 6100E RX and it all worked fine. Also the TX and RX gave me 3 extra channels for lights, smoke and sirens etc.

So, although you can use a 2.4GHz airplane TX for a surface craft you need to use an airplane RX.

Regards,

Eric.

P.S. No antennna hanging out to destroy with rollovers.

Thanks mate, thats exactly the answer i was looking for! Albeit still bad due to the fact of todays trip back for an exchange :P

My local hobby store even went to the trouble of testing it themselves AND calling tech support, and then called me back! Gotta love these guys.
