Default raptor 60

I have just gotten a Raptor 60 and I am going through the problem of choosing radio gear. I am going to get a JR8103 for the radio. I am looking at a JR549 9ch reciever. I was also thinking about 8411 servo's and 8700G for the tail. My gyro I was looking at is the CSM 540. I have also thought about the JR5000 gyro or the 500t. This is going to be an "over time" project, so I will put the electronics together over a period of time. The only thing I have on it right now is a JR531 for the throttle, since there is no strain on this servo for the throttle servo. If you have any suggestions on any radio gear that I may look at instead of this please throw your ideas my way. I am pretty sure I want to do the digital high speed/ high torque on this bird. Please all suggestion are welcomed and appreciated.

Actually it is a $100 gift certificate that you can use on other products on the same order or later. The JR G550T gyro and 8700 servo for effectively $199.95 is a tremondous deal.

With respect to the throttle servo, I have seen a few folks recommend a FASTER throttle servo than the collective servo so that the engine has a little bit more chance to be ahead of the load. Although, with the times we are talking and the actual response time of the engine, I don't know that it would make a bit of difference at all.

Good luck,
John

There is a reason the JR550 gyro is so cheap and on sale at many places. It's because it $uck$ wind. Several Heli Hobby shops refuse to sell the 550 because it is very hard to get working right. If you get everything else JR, get a Futaba gyro. The 401 with 9253 digital servo is even less at full cost than the 550 on sale and is generations better.
