Airtonics (Sanwa) Infinity660 convert to XPS 2.4Ghz
Good Day,
I am considering converting an Airtronics (Sanwa) Infinity 660 TX to XPS 2.4 Ghz. Using the universal module.
Before I actually make the purchase I would like to know if any member has actually done this?
Is the module a good fit into the TX?
Does the lead tuck away under the module ok?
Is it practical?
Does it work Ok? Would you do it again?
Cheers

I think the money would be better spent on a new RDS8000. I know the 660 is a cool radio, but unless you an electronics nut who likes to experiment it is not the way to go.

Thank you for responding.
On the XPS website it appears to be a very simple conversion. Insert the module straight in the back of the TX and hook up the lead.
It does not appear to be very expensive at $139, and utilises a radio otherwise not used.
I was rather hoping to get some input from someone who has done it, before proceeding.
Cheers

I believe that Assan might have the equivalent of a universal module.
The alternative is to consider the [link=http://www.rcmodelreviews.com/diyrcproject.shtml]DIY 2.4GHz radio[/link] that is currently under development at RCModelReviews.com

i would leave the Sanwa set as is on its normal 36 mhz band. some of those 2.4 gig units seem to play up.
