JR XF 622 transmitter battery
Hi there,
I have JR XF 622 in y heli that I bought used so that it won't hurt me if I crash it. The transmitter battery connector(black) has some green rust on it, that is why it is not working properly. I like to know how to either fix this issue of buy a new battery or somethig else. I did contact JR but I couldn't get good enough help.
Thank you
Syed

If you can solder, then you can buy any 8-cell transmitter pack that is arranged in a 2x2x2 pack. I buy mine from RadicalRC.com. If you don't want to solder, then order it with a JR transmitter connector already attached.

I can't find that battery with black connector anywhere on the internet. Even Horizon Hobby doesn't have it in stock. If I buy the battery, which one is better(Horizon or radicalrc)
What do I need to solder. How can I remove the green colour(seems to me as it is kind of rust) mass from the connector.
Thank you

I just bought some stuff from Radical RC a week or so ago, and had good service -
You might try here - under the connector option for the battery packs, you can choose the JR "T (black)" connector. You might e-mail the folks at Radical and ask if it's for sure the proper connector for the XF622

Don't forget to clean the connector in the tx, even if you do put a new battery in.

What you have there is Black Wire Corrosion. Throw the battery away, it's almost guaranteed to be beyond repair.
What you can do is change the black connector on the side pcb to the newer white 2 pin JST connector and get a battery pack with the corresponding free socket.
These items are readily available. Horizon SHOULD be able to help you out.

Oh... and check the wiring from the pcb back to the switch board, chances are that the cable has BWC as well and that will need changing. Do not even attempt to clean it up, you will be wasting your time as the cable will keep disintegrating on you.

Thank you all for your response. I have taken the inexpensive path in getting this radio fixed. I have ordered the battery and the connector from RadicalRc. In my experience the inexpensive way doesn't work for me atleast, so I looking forward to the arival of the battery and will inform you all.
Thank you
