"Futaba"/"Airtronics"
Can someone please tell me the pros/cons between "Futaba"/"Airtronics" 2.4 full time frequency/hopping technology??-

I know that Futaba grabs 2 channels, as soon as the Tx is turned on, and then grabs two different ones, in rapid succession, continuously, as long as the Tx is on.
JR grabs two channels, when the Tx is first turned on, and keeps those two until the Tx is turned off.
Both systems check to see what channels are available before grabbing them.

I have never owned an Airtronics radio so I do not know much about the technology it uses. There are members of our RC club that have used Airtronics. They use Spektrum and JR, now, for 2.4, but they may know more about how Airtronics implements 2.4.

I have the new Airtronics RDS8000 2.4 ghz transmitter and like it. They use a frequency hopping technology similar to Futaba. They are not compatible with Futaba. The Airtronics receiver is small and has longer leads on the antena's, making it easier to separate them. I've been using the RDS 8000 for a couple months with no problems.
