Default RX power with Lipoly????

I have a HET FA-18 and must power the reciever separate. Can I use a 7.4v Lipoly that I had from a blade cx without frying my reciever. I have a Futaba 6EX 2.4 Ghz. What can i do to make this work?

Yes, provided you also place a regulator e.g. Voltage regulator = BEC 6V = for Boats, cars and airplane in line.
Refer:
Servo - Operating Voltage Range - usuage with Lipol & A123 batteries.
