RE: 12 channel JR Module?????
there are many reasons - and the 12x is not the only JR radio capable of 12 channels... Now that a 12 channel reciever is available - i just wanted to know if Spektrum are thinking about producing a 2.4 module that uses all PPM24 inputs to output 12 channels.

RE: 12 channel JR Module?????
and the MX22 & MX24.
Anyway - I do not want to debate the merits of having a 12ch module, just asking if anyone has any information about spektrum planning to produce one.

Yes they offer one - a 12 with modules - you can change from 2.4 to- the discrete frequency stuff.
from a sales standpoint they are nowhere as popular as the 2.4 only setup.in the USA

RE: 12 channel JR Module?????
I was just curious because I have never seen those model Tx's advertised in the US. I wasn't arguing with you. I just like to be well informed.
I have two JR XP9303 radios. One with the Spektrum module and one with a JR Synthesizer 72Mhz module. I am slowly converting over to 2.4.

While the module in question DOES have Spektrum guts in it as do all the JR 2.4GHz radios, they are technically JR. As I understand it, it's a marketing agreement between Spektrum and JR whereby Spektrum will continue marketing up to the 7 channel radios and the 8/9 channel modules for conversion of the 72MHz band radios, while JR will produce the 9 channel and up radios. Regardless of the label, they are Spektrum DSM2 setups.
So there is a 12 channel JR module available, but as Dick said it only fits the JR 12X MV:
