Default Looking for a servo...

I'm currently working on a model airplane for a competition. I need a system on the airplane to be actuated by a servo, but it would be a lot easier to do if I could get a servo that has a sliding (i.e., straight) motion, rather than one with rotary motion. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any with a sliding motion. Anyone here know where I can get some? Help is much appreciated.

Also, do a search here on RCU(upper right corner of this page). Enter "linear and servo", in search term, check advanced search, then select subject, not subject and body, and wahla, a whole host of prior discussions on this subject. You'll probably learn more about linear servos than most of us even thought we knew.

Awesome! Thanks a lot guys. I'm gonna look into the servos I have at hand and try to get a conversion kit for them. If I can't find one... I'll probably look into getting linear servos.

Thanks again (and I might be back for more questions ).
