Technical data of Hobbico CS-60
Hi,
Even though a former RC and real pilot, I join this forum as an alien :-). That is for professional interest. For my master thesis at the ETH Zurich & University of Sao Paulo I work on a robotic hand, called "Kanguera Hand", for prosthesis purposes. The current prototype uses Hobbico Command CS-60 servo motors. For the mathematical model basing the control I need some additional data which Hobbico wasn't able/ready to provide: Friction in the gearbox, transmission ratio, inertia of the gearbox, motor constant, armature resistance, inductance of the motor.
As you seem to be the technically more interested guys in this forum, I hope I was right placing my question here. Does anybody of you know some the data I'm looking for?
Thanks,
Marius

RE: Technical data of Hobbico CS-60
Sorry, I can't help you with the data you're looking for. I think the Hobbico servo's are rebadged Hitec or Futaba servo's. If you compare the known servo spec's with Hitec or Futaba (including the shape of the case), you might be able to determine the actual model and manufacturer. They should have the data you seek. Hope this helps..........

Dissecting the servo you could count the ratio, measure the resistance, and maybe figure out the inductance, but I bet the designer who made it does not know the other stuff.

Cannot provide all details requested but the following may assist:
Tower Hobbico Servos - Identify manufacturer - Futaba or Hitec
CS-60 Retail package_Tech Notes
HS-311 Retail package_Tech Notes
(only Hitec provide the adjustable servo arm)
HS-311 detailed specifications
sub section "Servo - alterations, calculators, databases, leads, repairs, convert to an ESC or winch & FAQ." at
Alan's Hobby, Model & RC FAQ Web Links may also assist.
