JR 10x discount??
It's next to impossible to find one at a bargin. They are sought after and snapped up at usually competitive prices. Last year I was watching an auction on eBay for a new 10x complete system. There were no bids on it and the starting bid was $999 with no reserve. There was under an hour to go. I was having conniptions. I literally had to leave my computer to prevent myself from bidding. Someone ended up getting it for $999. Amazing. You might consider looking at just a transmitter. Also, consider a second hand Tx like an SXII.

Swapshop.
Bought both of my 10X radios that way - paid $520 for one and $550 for the other. (Transmitters & modules only)
I've been using them for over three years with nary a problem.

Did the same--here on RCU-- 10SX trans with case in excellent condition for $350 with module and 3 receiver Xtals (I made an offer within 20 minutes of the add posting--Sold my LNIB XP8103 trans for $240 the same night. Not a bad upgrade for $110. It pays to live here on RCU)
