Default Spektrum DX3 Lipo Help

I just purchased a lipo for my Spektrum DX3 and was doing some research and I seen a couple things where JR and Spektrum use reverse polarity. So how would I got about wiring the lipo in. Just hook the positive from the battery up to the negative wire in the TX and the negative to the positive or what? Just want to figure it out before I go to put it in. Thanks.

It is only the Transmitter battery that has different polarity for Futaba than JR/Spektrum. The Rx battery has the same polarity on both systems.

Yea I know its just the transmittier. Thats what I got the lipo for. My question is so I hook the battery up red to red black to black or red to black and black to red since its reverse polarity?

Red is always Positive and Black is always Negative, on any battery. It is just where they are soldered to the connector that is different.

Did your Tx come with a battery or battery holder? If so, just cut the the battery connector wires and solder the Red and Black wires, on the connector, to the Red and Black wires on the new LiPo battery. If you know someone with an old JR Tx battery, you can cut the wires going to the connector on the old battery and solder them to the new battery wires as I mentioned above.

If you have a Voltmeter, find someone with JR or Spektrum Tx battery and check for yourself, or call Horizon.
