Default Futaba gold case radios

over the years I have collected about 14 gold case radios, had them serviced and still use them today, now that i am getting back into flying alot some of the gold case radio boxes need work,

if anyone has extra side covers for the gold case radios, either looking to sell or get rid of, let me know. i need about 5 of the left side, and about 5 of the right side, i hate to get rid of the great gold case radios.

either let me know here, or pm me, or you can e mail me at [email protected]

thanks

I felt the same way as you... about the metal box Futabas.

I still have a silver box single stick... complete with tach and cables.

But after I punched the buttons on a programable plastic box TX, that was the end of the metal boxes.

You just can't run a 6 or 8 servo sailplane without a programable TX... and the shape of the plastic cases is easier on the hands during a weekend of contesting.

I know what you mean. Those FGK's are still nice in the hand. I have a 7 I use for my electrics and indoor flying. I went to a 6xas to try computer transmitters and I was sold. After 6 months I sold the 6 and bought a JR 8103 and never looked back. there is just so much versitality in the new systems these days. The more computer power you experience, the more you'll realize it's the way to go.

i also know what you mean, i am hooked on jr radios too, i picked a jr 631 and a jr 8103 heli radio, and i love them, but i still like the gold case radios, just need some side covers for them, i have about 20 planes and want to keep those radios alive, for now

If you get a new TX with a synthesizer you'll be able to store all your setups and use any channel.

I love my FP7-FG/K so much that I'm taking it with me into the next life!
