Default Tx/Rx Compatibility

I have a Tactic TTX401 FM Transmitter. Since I am rather new to rc, I need help finding a compatible Reciever. The Transmitter came with a 72MHZ Crystal, but I am unsure of what frequency it truly operates in. I also don't have a lot of money atm, so the reciever needs to be below 30$.

*EDIT*

I also need the reciever to have at least 3 Channels. I would also like to know if this reciever would work.

Are you going to use this for surface car/boat or for something that flys?

It's being used in a custom hovercraft.

Ok found this Tx. Appears its packaged with some small electric helicopters. The Rx you provided the link for is a negative shift PPM (FM)Rx. This means it will only work with negative shift PPM(FM) Tx's or Tx's that are shift selectable but the one you have is not.

Looking at the tech info at tower it does not tell you if that Tx is negative shift or not but it does give you a product support link. I would find out if this is a negative shift Tx first. The info on the Rx states the Rx is futaba shift which is the same as negative shift.

Hovercraft would put it in the surface vehicle catagory and that makes this frequency band illegal for this use.

In the US 72 mHz band is for aircraft only and the 75mHz band is for surface use only. Both may use 27mHz.
