Default Assan 2.4 module: any good?

I have a JR9303 that I want to convert to 2.4. One of the guys at my field is using, and suggested, that I go with Assan. I know the Spektrum is good, but is the Assan any good? Any reason(s) I should not go with Assan to convert my JR9303 to 2.4?

Not necessarily a reason, but where does one go for service on an Assan 2.4GHz system? Do they have a stateside outlet / service facility?
