BnF and Spektrum Air Module
Guys
I'm stumped on this one - maybe there's no way to accomplish. Ihave a Hitec Optic 6 and a Spektrum 2.4 Ghz Air Module. Ican use the Spektrum receivers with this setup, but when I try and conncet to a buddy's BnF(Bind and Fly)MCx heli, the controls are all messed up. The receiver does bind to the heli, however the throttle is controlled by the right stick - not the left. It's almost as if the mode needs to change from mode 2 to something else. I have a feeling this is due to Specktrum/JR's channel mapping on their receivers being different from the channel mapping on a Futaba/Hitec (don't you love standards).
Anyone run into this issue and solve it?
Thanks!

... If they're not plug in servos, you're pretty much hosed.

RE: BnF and Spektrum Air Module
The Spektrum air module for Futaba remaps the channel order of a Futaba tranmitter to match JR/Spektrum.
I don't have a Hitec, so I don't know if they are different from Futaba. Futaba is Ail on chan1 Ele on 2, Thro on 3 and Rudder on 4. With that module in a Futaba Tx, BNF models will operate correctly.

RE: BnF and Spektrum Air Module
I use the Spektrum air mod for Futaba in a 9Cs to fly parkies with AR6100's and one AR500 in a sailplane. Just plug the serevos into the channels as printed on the receiver (JR order) and there should be no issues. With my BNF Vapor I just had to set all servo reversing to REV as I remember[8D]
Cheers,
Pete
