Futaba 10 C reciever compatability
I just bought a Futaba 10 C 2.4 and I am disappointed in that it will not work with the 7 channel 2.4 fast receivers that I have 7 off. I am thinking that when you buy a $500.00 radio it should work with all the receivers. The transmitter only works with the high dollar 8 and 14 channel receivers. In checking the Tower Hobbies site, I do not see any statements that tell you that it will not work with the 7 channel receivers. It does state this fact in the manual. Had I known this little fact, I would have looked at other options. This is a buyer beware deal, just wish Futaba would have this little known fact published more. Dave

That Radio will work with ANY Futaba FASST (Air) receivers, just make sure you set the radio for 7 channel mode for the R617 RX.

Look at page 35 in your 10C manual to switch between 7CH/10CH modulation. I have a 10CAG and use all of my Futaba 2.4 receivers without conflict. The 10CAG is a great transmitter.

Huh?

This chart clearly shows the 10C in 7 channel mode working with the 607FS and 617FS receivers.

It does not show that in the manual. It only lists the 10 and 14 channel as compatable. As the fellows above mentioned, it is not until page 35 that the 7 channel is mentioned. I just did not read far enough into the book. It's all good now. Thanks Dave

Dave, the manual that came with my 10C modular TX was a slightly warmed over version of the 9C super manual. IE it tells you to make sure you wrap you receivers in foam, but the Futaba site tells you NOTTO wrap them, but mount on an edge. Bax cleared up this confusion for me. It would be worth your time to go through the 10C FA\Qs on the Futaba site. The

David Agar: You've got seven 7-channel 2.4 ghz receivers........did you win the lottery or something.
I was reading the 10c manual and was thinking the same thing till I got to page 35. The 10c is a very impressive radio.
I will be getting my first 2.4 ghz system sometime in the next couple of months.
I am on the fence right now.......between Airtronics and Futaba.
