Default 6EXA Futaba Trainer Cord question

I was looking into getting the new Futaba 6EXA entry level computer radio.

The qestion is I've seen a few places that it has the same trainer cord plug as the 9C? Is that right?

If that is right that means you have to get the special cord labeled "9C to FM" so that I can use it with a regular buddy box?

To connect the new Futaba 6EXA transmitter to a 9C or other 6EXA, you need:

FUTM4415 MMTC TRNR CORD MICRO/MICRO PLG

This is the same as the "9C to 9C" trainer cord.

Default 6EXA Futaba Trainer Cord question

Our club has a cord that fits the "New 9C type" and uses a regular buddy box. Its a special order item. To bad Futaba decided to change them. Its just more expenses for our club.

Umm thanks but that wasn't my question at all.

The question is do you need the other cord to connect between a 6EXA and other futaba radios/buddy boxes that aren't a 6EXA/9C?

If so why does the entry level (as advertised from Futaba) need the same cord that the top of the line 9c does? Just asking because you can bet the clubs that have a special buddy box for the purpose of training don't have a cord to connect to this "introductory" radio.

If thats your question.... The answer is yes.
1.)FUTM4415 Trainer Cord 9C to 9C
2.)FUTM4420 Trainer Cord 9C to 4-9 Channel
You need one of these cords for training on any 6exa..

Futaba will eventually change all of their systems to the new trainer cord configuration.

Yup thanks that answered it. I could find the cord info about patching to another 6exa and a 9c but couldn't find the number/info about the one to other futaba radios.
