Gyro
Ok, I am out of town for buisness. I found a local RC strip. A bunch of the local guys there had Gyros in their planes. Both sport, scale, twins, whatever. These guys are huge believers in gyros in planes... Whats your opinions.... I am new to Gyro plane stuff. Is it a good thing??

In the previous 2 replies you have both ends of the spectrum !!!
I guess the answer is somewhere in-between. Speak to the guys there and ask what advantage they believe they are getting !!
I bought a gyro 2 years ago and have not used it yet but a club mate has a model concorde which, is almost unflyble without a gyro.
I suppose that standard sport planes really do not need a gyro while difficult to fly and scale aircraft could benefit from gyros in the correct application to improve handling or the scale appearance while flying. Helps prevent ground loops with problematic taildraggers.
Personally I would use the gyro as a last resort!
