Default Please recommend a ESC

I'm in the process of modifying a cheap rc boat, for longer range, and the my understanding is my spektrum radio will need a ESC with reverse for the main drive... i went to my local hobby shop and they told me they didn't have anything for a 9.6v battery system... can someone please recommend a ESC i'm using a stock motor form http://www.searchamateur.com/product...Water-Hose.htm it doesnt share any specs on the motor, i have it apart and the motor is about 1.5 inches long with a 1 inch diameter.... im guessing it is less then 5 amp and it is probably brushed as it has about a 15 min run time on a 1 amp battery... I'd like to stay with the 9.6v system, so i dont need to change a motor and prop...
