Default Problem with futaba 8fg sensor being to sensitive. But FIXED

Well guys i had a problem while flying my touch pad being sensitive. Since it is good to edit of the mistake tht i actually learned on. I found a solution and it is lock the screen during flight. Wish the pad wasn't to close or to sensitive because i was getting into model menu without even touching it. It's very sensitive and couple mm will still activated. So to fix it is turn on the radio and double touch like u would do on laptop touch pd. put the finger on S1 and hold down. Happy flying.

Your hand is rubbing the sensor while moving the sticks, try locking the screen.

Lock it first then try it, see if it helps.

Try this, unlock it and try moving the sticks with your hand holding the sticks on a different position.

Okay, its not a bug. Touch pad is just so sensitive and sensor is a bit strong that it can detect the skin without even touching it. Couple mm away from the touch pad will still get into what ever menu u are close to. My case is model menu. So damn i guess i have to lock it everytime i fly.

*sigh*

I don't suppose in all fairness you would edit that inflammatory title tothis thread.

This is not a bug, and the reason the SensorTouch pad has the ability to lock it is to keep you from entering menus when flying. This has been discussed previously.

I think we would all appreciate you editing the title of this thread, it is not correct.

It is more appropriate, when you come across an apparent problem, to first ask if anyone has seen the problem before and do they know of a solution. Give the manufacturer, your RCU friends, and fellow RC buffs a chance to suggest a solution before you give your model Tx, and the manufacturer, bad press. Just reading the title of your thread may affect someone's decision to buy the product.

Heres what you do: lock the screen, change the title , and then jump out the nearest window!

Thanks for editing the title.

It's generally not considered rude to ask someone to be fair and accurate.

Hi Steve,

I just received my new Futaba 8 Fg Super and am having a problem with the Link function not responding when I tap it twice. I have to really hit it hard to get that menu up. Radio is brand new no flights on it yet.I have 6 planes programmed in it. The place I bought it offered to exchange it but I don't want to have to re enter all the settings for the 6 models. Can I copy the settings from my SD card back to the new transmitter without losing all the info?

Thanks

Hi geefish1,

Yes, you can transfer all models to your SD card, once you receive the new radio from your dealer, you can then use the card to put all the models back into the new transmitter.

Thanks Krysta. Will all the settings from each model transfer as well?

Yes, they sure will, whatever you have set such as DR, Expo, etc. Mixes will be Inhibited for safety's sake, but you can go back and activate them.

Hi Krysta,
How high a charge rate can be used with the battery in the radio for the 8FGS, in case I have to use a field charger for a fast charge. It is a 1700 NiMh battery.
