Will a JR/ DSM 2.4 remote work with a Specktrum AR9000 receiver?

The question was whether the JR/DSM would work with the AR9000 Rx which is DSM2, I believe.

Isn't the DX6 a DSM radio and it won't work with an AR7000, for example? The DX6i will because it is DSM2.

To the end user, Spektrum and JR are pretty much one and the same.

Thanks, I hooked it all up and the JR remote (DSM) will not power up with the AR9000 (DSM2).

The DSM2 transmitters will shift down to DSM. The only thing I can think of that won't work is the DX6 unless we are talking about some car or boat transmitter because I don't pay any attention to those.

Did JR ever make a DSM anything? And the remote receivers were all a result of DMS2 full range systems. I've never mixed/matched JR/Spektrum main/remote receivers but a JR DSM2 receiver will work fine with a Spektrum DSM2 transmitter. And, of course, a Spektrum DSM2 receiver will work fine with a JR DSM2 transmitter.

The only aircraft DSM receiver that I’m aware of is the AR6000, which doesn’t use a remote. I’m using Spektrum and JR remote receivers on my JR 921 receiver. The remotes are all DSM2. If the JR remote doesn’t work on your AR9000, you most likely have an equipment failure not a mismatch.

I think ther OP was using remote in the context of referring to a transmitter.
I'll put my money on BuschBarber, probably a DX6[]

The TX is a 9c with a Spektrum module and AR9000 RX. I went and picked up a Spektrum remote, rebound the receiver and everything works fine. I'm thinking bad new remote out of the box. Just a guess.

Is it possible you have the 9C in pcm mode? It must be set to PPM in the model memory your using for it to work with a Spektrum (or any 2.4) module.

It was in PPM. The AR9000 and the one remote worked fine, it was only the JR remote that would not power up when the system was turned on.

What are you referring to when you use the word Remote?

The Transmitter, the Main Receiver, or the Satellite Receivers? The AR9000 has ports for up to two Satellite Receivers.
