Which Futaba radio to buy?
Okay...here we go. Considering either 6XAS or 9CA. I will only have a few models, so the 9 seems a bit overkill, but sure does seem to offer greater flexability and more functions that may prove useful as I progress.
Opinions on which would be the better buy in the short/long run?
Any "hands on" experience advice?
Thanks!

Which Futaba radio to buy?
Another vote for the 9C I just ordered mine and it should be in today. I decided that for me I know I am going to be doing this for a long time so it was cheaper to buy the 9C in the long run than to buy the 6X and then later on end up getting the 9C

I ordered mine from Tower hobbies, after doing a long research, because the radio they are going to send you is calibrated with the receiver in the channel that you request.
If you can spend a little bit more go to the pcm option.

Which Futaba radio to buy?
I have a 6XAS and it's been a great radio. I just purchased an Ultra Stick 40 which can be setup with the separate flaps and ailerons, but a six channel radio won't give me the verstility to have each of the 4 surfaces on separate servos. I'm in the process of researching a radio that can handle more channels. The 9C looks like an excellent choice.

I used to have several Futaba sets but now am JR. Only a personal preference.
Point is, buy as many channels as you can afford. You'll not regret it. I went from the 6Xas to an 8103. I only had the 6 for a few months and quickly ran out of channels.
If you stay with brand F, get the 9C by all means.
