Default Hitec hs-5085mg adapter / mount question

Hello.

I working with a set of hs-5085mg servos, each having two plastic parts- they appear to be some sort of mounting adapters that I've never seen before. I think I figured out how they attach to the servo, but I'm not sure.

Has anyone ever used these? what are they used for? How do you attach them to the servo?

thanks.

ok... here's a pic.... It's the black "T" looking parts at the top-center of the pic. What are these for and how are they attached/used?

thank you.

Interesting, I'd guess they are so you can mount it with the screws to the side instead of the top. Never seen em before though.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. But when I attach them to the servo, there's a ton of play. I dont think I attached them correctly.

Has anyone else used these things?

Hello Folks,

I happened on this thread while searching for parts for the HS-5085MG servo. I have attached a photo of the servo with the mounts. I left the one on the left loose slightly to show how it mounts. Ignore the pot outside. I am modifying this servo so I can drive a gear almost 360 deg. The pot will mount to the spur gear. Hope this helps.

Regards,
Dennis

if the rubber grommets are on the servo, they might not be loose in those mounts, and the grommets would provide some vibration isolation when you screwed the mounts solid to the airframe
