jr 662 or futaba 6xas?
 

The new JR 662 and the Futaba 6xas seem to be pretty feature competitive for around the same price. Anybody have any feelings on which is "better"? Also, do either of these radios have any big shortcomings compared to the other? Are there any other radios in the same price range (~$250) that I should be looking at?

Time to step-up from my 4vf!

Another radio you should consider is the Airtronics RD6000 super.

More model memory, and shift selection make it a better buy IMHO.

The Hitec Eclipse 7 is also a contender. It too has shift selection and an extra channel. No PCM capability though.

Remember, radio preference is a personal thing. Check all of them out carefully, physically get your hands on each them if you can, to check out the "feel" of each unit, and you'll come to the decision that's right for YOU - not one which is "right" to or for someone else.

When I went to buy a 6ch a couple years ago, I checked them all out. For my money, the RD6000 was the best buy out there. Things haven't changed much during that time. Try them all and see for yourself.

I just had to decide between these two radios. I chose the JR because I have had problems with my last futaba, and the JR has digital trims with sub-trims. Once you have the digital trims you will never go back!!!!!!!
