Servo Programer/Tester?

I'm looking for something that I can use to test servos to see if they work and to center them before installation...nothing fancy...suggestions? Thanks, B7

RE: Servo Programer/Tester?

I have an older HPF-10 that I am not using much. It is made to program Hitec digital servos and adjusting several paramaters that are adjustable on these servos. It also has a test feature for other brands of servos, and can be used to ser-up flying surfaces without having the radio system turned on during the process. It can read servo "position" from the receiver and several other uses. A new 4.8 battery pack was installed earlier this year.

Send me a PM if you are interested.

If it is just to test they work and start with the initial centre position, Get a spare receiver and batt pack and use your TX to work them.
Otherwise, The hpf10 as suggested by Rafael23cc. the HPF10 is now outdated and won't program some of the functions on the later hiTec servos but the servo test and function roles are still valid for all servos.

For new equipment there is [link]http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXWCE9&P=ML[/link]

or

That last link is to the local supplier here. I am not sure who stocks them in the US as I can't find it on Towers site. It is the programmer for the S-Bus servos. If you fly Futaba, once you try S-bus you will find it very hard to go back to conventional systems.

I use a Turnigy Servo Tester. It can be set to Neutral, Auto, or Manual. It is great for setting a servo to Neutral, so you can attach the Servo Arm, without the necessity of the Tx or Rx.

Hope you didn't spend to much:) I've used this one for quite some time, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXVK79&P=ML . Inexpensive, effective and easily stored(i.e. small).
